Technical specifications

The first six months of the ProEmpower project pursued the identification of requirements for empowered diabetes care based on the assessed needs of the four public procurements in ProEmpower. These requirements would guide the development of the PCP process. This stage involved:

• Identifying a common vision of the project scope and direction in order to  guide the requirements work, identifying key aspects the ProEmpower solutions shall address
• Capturing the patient’s view – needs and expectations – for all procurers through a dedicated questionnaire covering the different aspects identified in the vision
• Capturing the health professional’s view and mindset about innovative solutions through a dedicated questionnaire covering the different aspects identified in the vision
• Field work within the procuring regions in order to identify legal, regulatory, staff, business and organisational requirements.
