Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Amadora (SCMA) is an NGO, founded in 1987, oriented to Human dignity in a sustainable and organised way. Its objectives include: capacitate individuals/families in a disadvantage position; deliver social responses to the community, suitable to the diagnosis of needs, on educational area, elderly area, health area and social area; develop integrated and proximity services; work in partnership with the three sectors of economy; maximize internal/external social accountability; transfer knowledge and good practices to other territories and organisations. In the health area, SCMA maintains a medical clinic, a long term care unit and a carer support unit.
In ProEmpower, SCMA will be health service provider for requirements analysis, prototype tests and pilots for Amadora. ProEmpower core activities will be developed in SCMA Medical Clinic (CLIMA) in bot, the prevention and intervention area. Moreover, SCMA is work package leaders for the Phase II and III of the pro-commercial procurement, as well as task leader for use case and service process model development.
