The ProEmpower Consortium has successfully hosted Open Market Consultation workshops in five different countries, as well as one webinar, over the course of several weeks in May and June 2017. The physical workshops took place in Campania (Italy), Murcia (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), Ankara (Turkey), and Sofia (Bulgaria) respectively. The majority of companies who participated in the workshops were SMEs and Startups (43%) followed by large companies (31%).The events attracted in total representatives of over 140 companies, confirming that the ProEmpower initiative has successfully made its initial message heard.
The ProEmpower Consortium had the opportunity to brief interested companies on the common challenges and latest developments in diabetes care within procurers’ regions and and to ask for input. The workshops presented the scope of the ProEmpower project and the unmet needs identified, explained the role of Pre-Commercial Procurement within the project and opened up a fruitful discussion about directions procurers and suppliers may follow, clearing out uncertainties and doubts.
