Project kick-off at the Turkish Ministry of Health

On 13 October 2016, ProEmpower held its Kick-off Meeting in Istanbul, hosted by the Turkish Ministry of Health.

ProEmpower seeks to procure over the 42 months of its planned duration a diabetes self-management solution that will make person-centred care a reality. The project kicked-off in 13 October 2016 at the Northern Anatolia Public Hospitals Association in Istanbul, when project partners met in person for the first time. The meeting was also attended by two of the project’s experts:

Bridget Moorman, whose technological expertise in standards and interfaces will guide the project’s efforts.

Prof. Wendelin Schramm, a trained diabetologist and professor for health economics.

The meeting began by stressing the project’s particularity among many other EU-funded projects addressing this challenge, namely the fact that multiple suppliers for the solutions are to be selected based on specific criteria. Each of the planned work packages was discussed in a dedicated session.
