The ProEmpower project has reached its piloting phase. Two diabetes self-management solutions, DM4ALL and DiaWatch, will be piloted in four regions: Istanbul (Turkey), Amadora (Portugal), Campania (Italy) and Murcia (Spain).
The pilot operation is scheduled to start in July 2019 and end in January 2020. A total of 400 patients across the four pilots will test the solutions and provide feedback to the project consortium. Clinical and non-clinical parameters will be assessed throughout the pilot in a comparative evaluation. The solutions are expected to contribute to patient empowerment, an improved quality of life, and the overall better self-management of type 2 diabetes.
